Originally I started composing this song somewhere around 2007–2008. It’s one of my first compositions ever and hasn’t changed that much in years. I tried to make a simple electronic arrangement project in order to practice my mixing skills etc. so this song was a natural choice for that. However, the end mix still turned out to be a bit bloated. It took half a year to get it right, after I finished most of my recordings in last January. That first song of the single was also eventually mastered by Studio Muuntamo which mixed and mastered my Noitavaino back in the day too. The song and arrangements itself draw influences quite heavily from Metroid Prime games. Even some of the synth presets of my Korg R3 are the same than used in the games.
In bandcamp I published a “deluxe edition” of all the alternate versions so far (kind of bootleg recordings included). The first three renditions of them are still the official ones: electronic, ambient, and piano.
