Upcoming metal with delegated mix

Other than the album art which I am working on now, the upcoming electronic metal EP is almost ready. This time I have gave it to outsider mixers to finish. I have always done my own mixes myself before so this is my first time to try this option. My long term aim is to develop as a producer so that I could do my own mixes too, but my mixing skills are still lacking far behind to meet the quality of my recordings.

So far it seems that there are three different mixers to do the job this time and I might give all the different versions for listeners to compare in my bandcamp release (including my own crappy mix). The most qualified mix gets into Spotify. My aim is to publish the album by the end of this year but we’ll see if the final mixes are ready by then.

The EP was meant to contain about three 8-minute tracks but they got reduced to two this autumn. Despite the obstacles of challenged productivity, this album will be important experiment in many ways. The end result should be high quality. I am not sure if I will ever learn to mix my stuff that good myself. In that case I might delegate that task in the future as well. Although, with bigger albums that might get very expensive to do. As there will be only two tracks it doesn’t get quite costly this time.
